Lou Vincet
New Zealand
Often described as the nicest bloke in professional cricket, Lou is an eccentric joker with a God given ability to strike a cricket ball as cleanly as anyone in the history of the game. He announced himself on his Test debut at the WACA in 2001, with a century against the A Team of McGrath, Lee, Gillesepie and Warne. He is an electric fielder in the covers, and an effervescent, ceaselessly encouraging presence on the team. Much as he is off the field in fact. But it’s his class with the bat that makes him so special. Capable of playing any type of innings, from Test double hundreds to T20 centuries, he is the ultimate team player. If only he knew just how good he is.
