A generous, affable man, easy to talk to and never happier than when talking cricket. A genius with the bat whom Michael Vaughan, captain of the 2005 Ashes side, described as “the best player of his generation”. Since his move to Mongoose in 2011, he has almost doubled his batting average from 42 to 80. Still one of the most destructive hitters in world cricket, a slipper who catches swallows and a genuinely lovely man, he is the perfect ambassador for the county he captains, Somerset, and for us at Mongoose.

It is a privilege for Mongoose to count Trez as one of our own.
